在华人的民俗信仰里，有许多的大日子。 一些是庆祝神的圣诞或者千秋，有的是来祭祖的。在每个不同的大日子，祭拜的方法和纸料都有不同。不同的金纸，银纸和冥纸会在不同的祭拜中使用。还有不同的籍贯和法门也有不同的方式，这也是我们一直所说的各门各法。我们的祖辈来自一个地广的地区，也带来的不同的习俗和民俗。
我们的老板娘的祖辈是地地道道的潮州人，虽然老板娘是在新加坡土生土长但是在民俗上还是保留了潮州人的特色。为了保留我们华人的习俗，我们也会记载其他籍贯的民俗拜拜的习俗。要是您有更好的资料，不妨联系我们来交流我们的传统习俗。
Chinese has many different cultural beliefs and traditions, all these traditions and cultures are passed down from generation to generation. Many of these beliefs and traditions surrounds praying to the nature, deities and our ancestors. This is one of Chinese’s virtues where we pay respect to the nature, deities and ancestors.
There are many different dialects therefore the traditions and beliefs will defer. Our founder’s ancestors were from Chaozhou and even though she is born and grow up in Singapore, her parents are both pure Teochew lineage. Therefore some of these traditions listed here has strong Teochew influence. With our mission of persevering our Chinese traditions and culture, we will write on other dialect festivals.
